Lucy's Web 2.0 Savvy

This one is from May 2008 but thought it was cute enough to post. Not to give too much away but she was a little scared and in awe of this for the first couple minutes but once she adjusted it was a lot of fun. Kristol couldn't get the camera quick enough to catch her when she was just quietly staring at me.

What Color is this?

So I've started to compile a few of the movies that have been piling up and will try to post them soon. Here's one of my favorites from a couple weeks ago. She's not much better with colors now but can count to ten leaving out 8 most of the time.

Get this thing off me

So Lucy has started to enjoy sleeping in or when she wakes up just hangs out in bed until you get her up, no more yelling for daddy at 6:45 am. This is normally a good thing but yesterday I turned off my alarm before I was fully awake, about 8:45 am I received a phone call that woke me up. I went to check on her and she was awake but just laying in bed on her pillow still content. I decided to get dressed before getting her up and about 10 minutes later I hear her calling, "daddy, daddy." To my surprise when I went in her room she was standing up without a diaper on and had went potty in the bed. I think she was happy to have the diaper off but had enough of it once her bed had a big wet spot.

Yes, you read that right! Last night, Lucy brought me a Pooh video and said "Mommy, watch poop!" It took me awhile to figure out that she was talking about Pooh! Oh, the things she comes up with.

Fall is Here!!

Fall is finally here in Indiana! We celebrated by visiting Brown County this week with Nena, Papaw, Aunt Jen, Uncle Matt, and Braden. Here are a few photos from our trip.

She's a good sport

Lucy had the hiccups the other day, so being the good mom that I am, I tried to scare the hiccups out of her. I came up behind her and yelled "ROOAARR!!", which caused her to fall over face first. She then proceeded to get right back up and go back to whatever she was doing, like nothing ever happened. Unfortunately, I didn't scare the hiccups out of her, but I think she's prepared to take just about anything that's thrown at her in stride!

and the winner is ... Shrek! She is constantly saying 'Wat Dona', which means 'Watch Fiona'. She loves Fiona on Shrek and is pretty much infatuated with princesses at this point in time. I read Sleeping Beauty to her about 5 times last night! Maybe we'll be able to get her that princess costume after all instead of the Saint Bernard costume that she picked out a month ago!
